■11/09/2008"Teak Flooring"
There are 5 heads in the planning Mega Yacht. Each heads have shower room. There are some options to enhance the beauty in the yacht
shower room (paint, marble or etc). We ended up with the Teak flooring for good weigh balance. To add the flooring in shower room is, as an
Interior Architect, we have to carefully design the glass shower door height, side window flame height and to drain water smoothly. The picture
shows that this construction don’t use nail. This is very beautiful, however, it’s time consuming to make it.
Finally Teak special carpenter made it perfectly.

■10/25/2008"IBEX show @ Miami - A"
It takes about 20 hours from Tokyo-Narita Airport to Miami International Airport. There isn’t direct flight from Tokyo-Narita to Miami, so I have to transfer at
somewhere in the State. This time I transferred at Los Angels and Dallas on my way back Japan. By the way, the Dallas airport is huge and very clean. I didn’t
mind to kill my transfer gap time over there.
Even though the IBEX show held at Miami Beach and my flight airport is Miami, I stayed at Fort Lauderdale hotel. I often visit the city, so I know the town.
To know where I can get whatever I want makes me no stress. In addition that the hotel was close to beach and has a view. It will take about 40 minutes by car
from Ft. Lauderdale to Miami South Beach.
Everytime I visit Ft. Lauderdale, I must go to the lovely book store. I bought a lot of books, it was too heavy to carry, so I went to the post office to ship to Japan.
After I got out the post office, I recognized a building which I haven’t notice from my car. I was curious what kind of building it is, so I went the site. There was a
sign, it said “THE BOAT HOUSE”.
I glanced at the opened garage door, there were some Mega Yachts there!! This building is moorage for Mega Yacht. It seems like 5 of around 100 feet yachts
inside. Many hurricanes in Florida, surrounded in a location to store a luxury yacht is assured hold. Behind the building is facing a canal, which makes easy sail
in and out. The maintenance job is very easy access for this location. I have never seen like this circumstance in Japan.

■10/11/2008"IBEX show @ Miami - @"
The IBEX show was held from Oct. 6th at Miami Beach Convention Center in Florida, USA. The IBEX is “The International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition & Conference”
in short. The show is not like the target for any boat owners, it intends to focus on to display the variety of boat building manufacture. I attended the show from
the opening for researching the new stuff and studying the relatively new ship construction.
The IBEX show is usually held a week before of Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, however this year, 2008, is separated from the Ft. Lauderdale boat show.
The sponsor of Ft. Lauderdale boat show and IBEX show is different and I understand that it is pretty hard for manufacture/vender to have a people at these shows
for two weeks.
I would like to introduce what I saw in Florida in a next couple of my blogs.

■09/13/2008"Letter from my Mentor"
I received a letter from my previous job owner in Seattle, USA. When I worked for him, I learned tons of things
being a “Yacht Interior Designer”. I had seen interesting things, at the same time very unique and difficulty
about yacht interior design. What the letter said is that he heard about what we are performing in yacht business,
and he encourages me to keep going further.
I feel the handwriting letter has feelings and emotion what the writer really wants to say compare to the PC letter.
It is very heartwarming letter.

■08/31/2008"Summer Photo"
One thing what the beauty about Japan is there is four seasons. August is the summer time,
it is really humid and hot in Tokyo by the way, and September is in between summer and fall.
It is not either cold or hot, it’s just comfortable temperature. The tress are gradually turning to red color.
The photo is the memory of summer.

■08/24/2008"Different Angle of View as Usual"
It is quite different way to create the things (includes Interior Space in general) between renovation and start
from the scratch. To get the image become reality is sometime need to change the point of view.
I intentionally do sometimes see things in a different way. Then I discover many things not only to look through,
but sometimes form conversation. I carefully control to look over all and very detail back and forth.
One day, passing through underneath the big Tokyo Rainbow Bridge on the yacht, I realized those things again.

■06/15/2008"Dragon Boat (Taiwan)"
The very colorful Taiwan Dragon Boat. The people on boat row the dragon boat at the rhythm of drum at
bow. It has to be precisely matched the drum rhythm at the all the people’s oar, and then get the
speed. The difference between the matching rhythm boat and non-matching boat is obvious. The perfect
rhythm team is outstanding.
It was so sad that the race date was unfortunately bad weather.

■06/01/2008"Luxury Mansion"
I had a chance to visit a luxury mansion. The building is brand new and the mansion has a variety of
guest space such as pool room, ping pong room, yoga room, library banquet, board room and karaoke room.
I put the photo of wall which has a wood circle above with wall sconce and below is the marble circle.
Those shape and material are delicately matching each other and creates the wall for statement.
The interior taste is luxurious European and I totally understand the concept of the building.

■04/27/2008"Interior Carpentry"
The picture of the interior wood work for the building Mega Yacht.
The carpenter is building the each component based upon our mill work drawing.
We control throughout yacht's “balance”. The carve is very important for the safety and interior atmosphere.

■04/21/2008"Taiwan High Speed Train"
The photo of Taiwan High Speed Train. The train is base upon Japanese bullet-train, 700T series.
The interior of the train is very clean and quiet, even though the top speed is close to 300km.
It is very impressed that there is not much gap between platform and train entrance level.

■03/31/2008"Vacuum Resin Infusion"
Our designing Mega Yacht is using the Vacuum Resin Infusion.
The Resin Infusion has a lot of benefit. According to the test piece data, the Resin Infusion is much thinner and
stronger in a tensile strength examine than hand lay-up and spray-up lamination.

■03/19/2008"S/S Marine Outfitting Manufacture"
The manufacture in Taiwan is producing a variety of stainless steel (SUS 430, 304 & more) marine outfitting.
It was amazed their product’s quality and variety. It is understandable that big production company in the
world is selecting their products. On our custom mega yacht project, we are planning to use a lot of their
product.

■02/23/2008"A Class Passenger Motor Yacht"
The photo is showing the production meeting at ship yard.
We are having a meeting twice in a month with Naval Architect, Interior Designer & Ship Constructor.
The yacht that we are designing now is under Japanese classification (JG).
The major equipment, outfitting and interior material have to be class approved item.
The photo is a part of shaft with class approval seal.

■02/02/2008"Sumo Wrestling"
I was invited to see the Japanese national sports “Sumo Wrestling”.
Our seats were very close to the Sumo ring, so it was so exciting to watch the big Sumo wrestler.
After finish all the match game, I’ve got a lot of variety of gift.

■01/10/2008"Dalian"

is coming strongly. We hope we can do very, very interesting business the year of 2008!!
